I believe that the world should see the real China in all its beauty, that's why I started this blog. I was frustrated by how badly misconstrued China is in the west and upon arriving here myself, my excitement for this great land inspired me to create this blog. I am half Chinese, half British and 100% Canadian. My Chinese name is 杨金龙 (Golden Dragon) and I am currently studying Earth System and Environmental Science at a Canadian University. But this summer, I am working in China as an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Intern with PPG. For the first time, I leave the ivory towers of university behind as I roll up my sleeves to wrestle with the monsters of the real world. This is not a blog about me, rather it is about what I am learning about China, its culture and its wonderful people. I invite you to comment, question and debate my discoveries!
